Winter Activities
We have had some really fine autumn hikes with many people joining us.
Now it is time for winter hikes and snowshoes. We hope many of you will join us for at least one or more of our winter activities. A reminder that you do not have to be a Green Mountain Club member to join us on our winter activities, though we do encourage folks to become members as every membership helps the club to continue to maintain and protect the Long Trail system for our use.
Please be sure to RSVP to the outing leader and leave a phone number or email (that you check regularly) in case the leader needs to cancel for bad weather.
For winter activities you should have a day pack with extra clothing, extra mittens or gloves, a set of handwarmers, multiple snacks, fluids, and if the trip includes lunch, food for lunch.

Bromley Mtn hike 7/11
Today, with excellent hiking weather and drying out trail footing, 9 of us and one dog hiked from Mad Tom Notch south on the Long Trail over Bromley Mtn and down to Rt 11/30.
The view from the top was great. We met numerous hikers - many of them Long Trail or Appalachian Trail hikers, but also a large number of day hikers just out for the day.
